Non-urgent advice: The NHS Digital Weight Management Programme

The NHS Digital Weight Management Programme supports adults living with obesity who also have a diagnosis of diabetes, hypertension or both, to manage their weight and improve their health.

It is a 12-week online behavioural and lifestyle programme that people can access via a smartphone or computer with internet access.

Non-urgent advice: Brio Leisure - Weight Management

Brio's 12 week Adult Weight Management Programme provides personalised advice, support and guidance to help people achieve and maintain a healthier weight. This includes group sessions and tailored physical activity advice.

Their Weight Management Programme is free for eligible adults in Cheshire West and Chester. You need to be referred by a GP or health/social care professional.

Eligibility criteria: BMI 30+ (or 27+ for oatients from BAME backgrounds) and diagnosed with one of the following conditions:

  • Bipolar Disorder
  • Psychosis
  • Schizophrenia
  • Medicated, but stable hypertension
  • Learning disability
  • Physical disability; whereby a person's physical functioning is clinically evidenced as having a long-term negative effect on their ability to exercise, and they are in receipt of a qualifying disability benefit related to their physical function.
